If the total population in America equals to China or India, what are the challenges economic wise?
Q. This question is hypothetical and the economy is base on the current market. My prediction is that America really needs an increase in population and base on current market, we won't be facing any problems like a credit crunch.

A. Ever consider how expensive it would get to live in an America with a population the size of China or India? Or how unpleasant it would be, not to mention the strain on the environment and other resources. The head of a drug company once told me he preferred to arrange financing and do business in Europe than America because America is too short-term in it's thinking. Europeans take longer views and are prepared to wait for an investment to pay off, but in America, corporations only look three months ahead to the next quarterly reports. The other problem I see in America is a lack of education. Sure you have schools, but a lot aren't very good. You don't pay teachers very well and don't seem to value education beyond the job it can get… [cont.]
