Q. Hi, I received a Chia Herb Garden for Xmas and my herbs are outgrowing their pots. This is my first attempt at an herb garden and I was wondering what kind of potting soil would be best? These herbs will be grown indoors. Thanks for any info! Asked by Dramarama - Sat Feb 24 21:44:26 2007 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments A. Hi, Herbs will grow in any good garden soil. The soil should not be extremely acid or alkaline, a soil nearly netural is best for most herbs. You need a pH reading between 6.5 and 7.0/ This seems to work best for me. If you are growing you herbs in pots, use a mix of about two parts potting soil to one part coarse sand or perlite agf Answered by agf442000 - Sun Feb 25 00:37:47 2007 From Yahoo Answer Search: "herbs" |
