does microbiology has a good scope in india? is an institute or university best to do microbiology?
Q. i m right now studyin in an institute, so should i continue in it for microbio? microbiology is a good option? but can i have a bright future in it, if i do it from an institute?

A. If u r interested in research work or teaching then continue studying microbiology. Doing just graduation in microbiology is a waste of time.

Should I take Microbiology class in the summer?
Q. I'm enrolled in a college Microbiology class. The class started yesterday but I'm wondering if I should drop out because a lot of people have been telling me that it's a really hard class, especially in the summer. Have any of you taken this class before? Is it really that intense? My class meets 5 days a week for 6 and a half hours each day. It runs for 5 weeks. Study experts say you should study 2 hours outside of class for each hour you spend in class, so that's 13 hours of outside studying. Combine that with the 6.5 hours in class, that's 19.5 hours of straight studying of microbiology. That leaves me with only 4.5 hours to sleep, eat, shower, etc. Would I be crazy to take this class in the summer or should I just drop it and… [cont.]

A. It sounds like Biology/Pre-med isn't what you're going into. If so I would advise that you stray from this course! Biology in general is complex, when you go into the molecullar/cellular level of things. Microbiology is the study of microrganisms. This course is interesting, if you want to learn how bacteria and viruses affect our bodies. But, you're also going to learn excess information that you may not want to know unless you're a Bio major. If you're taking this class to fulfill a science requirement, I highly advise you take a class that is not as difficult, maybe like Geology. A. I took chemistry and microbiology at the same time but it was in a fall semester, and it consists of 12 weeks instead of 8 weeks. Microbiology is a lot harder than chemistry. If you are not good in science classes, it is not wise to take them both at the same time or especially during the summer. It really depends on you and how your nursing program chooses its candidates. Is it based on gpa, overall student's profile or just based on the net exam score percentile? Will you have time in the summer to study everyday especially microbiology? Do you work? You have to put all those factors in especially if you have kids or a family to watch or feed.
