Verbdesigned
Adjectivedesigned (comparative more designed, superlative most designed) Derived termsFrom Wiktionary under the GNU Free Documentation License. No generally-accepted definition of “design” exists, and the term has different connotations in different fields (see design disciplines below). Informally, “a design” (noun) refers to a plan for the construction of an object (as in architectural blueprints, circuit diagrams and sewing patterns) and “to design” (verb) refers to making this plan. However, one can also design by directly constructing an object (as in pottery, cowboy coding and graphic design). More formally, design has been defined as follows.
Here, a "specification" can be manifested as either a plan or a finished product and "primitives" are the elements from which the design object is composed. With such a broad denotation, there is no universal language or unifying institution for designers of all disciplines. This allows for many differing philosophies and approaches toward the subject (see Philosophies and studies of design, below). The person designing is called a designer, which is also a term used for people who work professionally in one of the various design areas, usually also specifying which area is being dealt with (such as a fashion designer, concept designer or web designer). A designer’s sequence of activities is called a design process. The scientific study of design is called design science . Designing often necessitates considering the aesthetic, functional, economic and sociopolitical dimensions of both the design object and design process. It may involve considerable research, thought, modeling, interactive adjustment, and re-design. Meanwhile, diverse kinds of objects may be designed, including clothing, graphical user interfaces, skyscrapers, corporate identities, business processes and even methods of designing. GNU Free Documentation License What will happen if an operating system designed for 32-bit computers is installed in computer of 64 bits? Q. Suppose you install a certain operating system that is designed for 32-bit computers in a computer that has a processor of 64 bits. Will the Operating System work anyway in that computer of 64-bit processor? I know that if you do it the other way round: installing an operating system designed for 64-bit computers in a 32-bit computer, it won't work. Asked by Le Han - Wed Aug 26 08:47:42 2009 - - 3 Answers - 0 Comments A. Operating systems are designed to work on either set up. Whether it is an x86 (32 bit) or x64 (64 bit) OS. All in all there is no difference between the two set ups, only your CPU can be bottlenecked slightly, and you are limited to 3.5gb of RAM. Answered by [RoC]SkieS - Wed Aug 26 08:54:01 2009 Is the sentence: He had designed software in New York before he moved to Phoenix correctly written? Q. I am confused about the had designed. Why not just use designed. One I think is progressive, the other one simple past. Why not just use past tense? Thanks for your help. Asked by lindalark47 - Fri Mar 27 18:11:08 2009 - - 4 Answers - 0 Comments A. "Had designed" is past perfect; it indicates that the action was performed in the past and is no longer performed. Context would help. For example, "He had designed software in New York before he moved to Phoenix." In Phoenix, though, he threw away his pocket protector, opened an art gallery, and never looked back. Answered by Miz T - Fri Mar 27 18:36:53 2009 How can I get my own handmade and designed greeting cards in stores?
Q. I have started my own business and I plan to open my website and start selling my wonderful handmade and designed cards by myself within the next 6 months to 1 year when I have enough designs and cards handmade. (Very modern, stylish, and vector ) Any ideas on the best way to approaches doing this? Whats the best way of contacting the companies/stores? Thank you. :] Asked by roxysoftball06 - Sat Oct 17 20:53:18 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. Offer them a deal that no other card manufacturer would offer. Give them your first 10 cards and tell the store that they can keep 90% of the proceeds. Every other card manufacturer charges 80% of the retail cost of the card. The store makes 20% (gross). Selling your cards will make the stores 90% profit. If the 10 cards sell quickly, the store will enter into a long-term contract to buy cards from you. You lost money on 10 but you will get "discovered". Go in person to each store.
