Q. I work part time for a small business. The owner is considering retiring and is contemplating selling the business to an associate of his. The buyer wants a clause that would force all employees to remain with the company for the first 6 months, or the seller and possibly the employees would be penalized. I can't stand the buyer and absolutely will not work even one day for him. Under Canadian law is this even legal? What do you recommend I do.
